Alpha Overseas is well known for producing SS 347/347H Sheet/Plate/Structural. Alloy 347 (S34700) is a stabilized stainless steel plate that, when exposed to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 800 to 1500°F (427 to 816°C), exhibits exceptional resistance to intergranular corrosion. Columbium and tantalum are used to stabilize the alloy 347 stainless steel plate.
Stainless steel plate in grades 347 and 347H has several fascinating mechanical characteristics. Both materials start with tensile strengths of 75 KSI and yield strengths of 30 ksi at 0.2%. The elongation of this grade of stainless steel is 40%. 347 and 347H stainless steel plates have a hardness of 201 on the Brinell hardness scale and a hardness of 95 on the Rockwell B scale. In heavily oxidizing environments, 347 and 347H stainless steel plates have slightly greater corrosion resistance than 321 stainless steel plates. Due to its strong resistance to intergranular assault and columbium stabilization, it is preferred for aqueous and low-temperature settings. The polythionic acid stress corrosion cracking that occurs in oil refineries is well-resisted by AISI 347 plate. Its resistance to oxidation at high temperatures is comparable to that of the AISI 304 plates. Resistance and fusion welding techniques can be used to join sheets of 347h stainless steel. Forging, upsetting, and other hot work operations can be carried out between 1149 and 1232 °C. Coil made to ASTM A240 Type 347 provides good creep resistance up to 1500°F.
When used in applications where the temperature ranges from 2100°F to 2250°F, it offers good corrosion resistance. And to reach its maximum hardness, it must be annealed and quenched in water. Strips made to ASTM A240 Gr 347 are helpful for annealing box lids, jet engine parts, airplane exhaust stacks, and other purposes. SA240 Type 347 perforated sheet is made through the method of “die and punch” perforating. The passing sheet has holes punched into it by a sheet with needles that are continuously applied to it. The surface is polished, and the leftover fragments from the punching are sheared off. A little more durable than SA240 304 foil is SA240 347H foil. Slow speeds and constant positive feeds can reduce its hardenability.

Alpha Overseas(AOS) is recognised as a supplier of Duplex Steel S31803 / S32205 Perforated Sheet, which finds its uses because of both outstanding erosion resistance and soaring potency. Duplex Steel UNS S31803 Perforated Sheets covers superior amounts of chromium in association by means of other alloy and therefore has excellent erosion resistance. Duplex Stainless Steel UNS S32205 Sheets has extremely first – rate confrontation to restricted weathering and SCC in grouping by means of elevated mechanical potency. This grouping permits UNS S31803 Duplex Steel Sheets to be sturdier and rougher than usual austenitic alloys. Duplex Steel S32205 Sheets merges excellent mechanical potency and ductility by means of having modest to excellent erosion resistance in a range of atmospheres. Duplex Steel S31803 Sheets defines a family of alloys which are neither completely austenitic, such as Stainless Steel 304, nor completely ferritic, such as Stainless Steel 430. Duplex Stainless Steel UNS S32205 Perforated Sheets is two - phase, ferritic and austenitic steel by means of having 22 percent of chromium, 3 percent of molybdenum, 5 percent - 6 percent of nickel alloy.
