Up to about 400 degrees Celsius, titanium grade 5 tubes are fully heated and treatable in section sizes up to 15 mm (750 Degree F). Titanium Grade 5 Seamless Tubes, also referred to as alpha-beta alloy, are the industry standard for titanium alloys. Titanium Grade 5 Welded Tubes can be heat treated and used up to about 400 degrees Celsius in section sizes as small as 15mm (750 Degree F). Titanium Grade 5 EFW Tubes are appropriate for welding and fabrication because of their high strength, capacity to withstand heat treatment, good ductility, good fabricability, and good weldability, just a few characteristics. Since titanium Grade 5 ERW Tubes are alloyed, it is regarded as an alpha-beta alloy. Titanium Grade 5 Round Tubes are a good option for usage in offshore and subsurface oil & gas operations where seawater corrosion and weight are problems because of their strong resistance to corrosion in seawater. The most popular high-strength titanium alloy is titanium Grade 5, an alpha-beta alloy. The alloy combines a high degree of corrosion resistance in alkaline, chemical, and chloride concentrations with superior mechanical strength and low density (4.42 kg/dm3).
