The austenitic stainless steel grade in these sheets has a significant proportion of molybdenum. The increased concentration of molybdenum and nickel compared to other materials provides improved corrosion resistance. Compared to grade 304, it is less susceptible to corrosion.
When exposed to a chloride atmosphere, it is particularly corrosion resistant. It is appropriate for many small and large industrial applications because of its strong welding and shaping capabilities. These sheets offer strong tensile strength, increased creep, and stress-rupture strength, even at elevated temperatures. It is far more resistant to sensitization because of this. These are frequently utilized in components for heavy-duty welding.
