Alpha Overseas is one of the country's leading suppliers and manufacturers of SS 347 / 347H Pipes & Tubes.SS 347 / 347H Pipes & Tubes have stronger resilience to severe oxidizing conditions than alloy 321 and good overall corrosion resistance. After exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 800 - 1500°F (427 - 816°C), SS 347 / 347H Pipes & Tubes exhibit exceptional resistance to intergranular corrosion. The alloy's creep strength limit of 1500°F (816°C) and strong oxidation resistance. It has good low-temperature toughness, as well. The version of alloy 347H (UNS S3409) stainless steel plate with greater carbon content. It was created with better strength at temperatures above 1000°F (537°C) and improved creep resistance. SS 347 / 347H Pipes & Tubes can only be cold worked; heat treatment is not an option. It is simple to weld and process using common fabrication shop techniques. The general corrosion resistance of SS 347 / 347H Pipes & Tubes is excellent and comparable to that of 304. It was created for use in the 800 to 1500°F (427 to 816°C) chromium carbide precipitation range where unstabilized alloys like 304 are vulnerable to intergranular attack. SS 347 / 347H Pipes & Tubes have better overall corrosion resistance in this temperature range than SS 321 Pipes & Tubes. Additionally, Alloy 347 outperforms Alloy 321 in highly oxidizing conditions up to 1500°F (816°C).

The alloy can be utilized in pure phosphoric acid at low temperatures, most diluted organic acids at moderate temperatures, nitric solutions, and up to 10% diluted solutions at high temperatures.
